We came in with a large group and I have to say our waitress was amazing and efficient!! All the orders were right, hot, and good! Overall, great experience but I wish we knew ahead of time they allow smoking in the restaurant.
Of you like a rustic bar and restaurant. Nice place to visit, foods we ordered was delicious especially my patty burger and which I choose tater tot’s as my side the more I am happy with it. Husband okey with his steak cause as per he noticed lot of fats which he disregard to eat it. But all in one we had a satisfaction of our foods. Server so nice. But remember that is a bar so expected the smells of a beer. Which I didn't like it much, probably I don't drink beer. 😅😵💫😉
Normally, I have a lot of love for this establishment. The food is good, the owners are a gem in this community. But it makes me sad to see a place as good as this have service as purposefully vindictive as it does. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and basic decency. I went in to eat, and context here— I am 8 months pregnant. After waiting in the sun outside for 20 minutes, I called the only waitress on staff at the time, Effie, by name to please bring me a water as she walked by. She made eye contact with no acknowledgment of my request. Effie served everyone around me who came in, but refused me service without even notifying me. After over a half hour, I went up to ask if there was a problem, and she very rudely said she did not want to serve me and I could wait 2 hours unt
First and foremost, this place needs to be billed as a bar, more so than a restaraunt. Our waitress was very friendly, the atmosphere was light and there was live music. My dinner was mostly good. The twice baked potato was totally burnt on the bottom, and I'm one of those people who like to eat the potato skin, and I had to cut it with a knife because it was so tough, so I only ate the top part of the potato. The NY strip was nicely seasoned, but too much of the burnt char from the grill was on it and gave it a burnt tasting crunch that should not be there, it was also a bit too chewy, but tasted fine. I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually grilled to a proper med rare. The salad obviously came from a prepackaged bag of salad mix, but at least it wasn't brown or spoiled. All in a
A long time Old Town Fenton establishment. I first visited in the late 80's or early 90's but I'm sure it's been there for even longer despite the Meramec River up the street trying to drown them out every so often. I recommend the Prison Burger and the Roast Beef on Cheese Garlic Bread for sandwiches or any steak if you're really hungry. Good spot for a cold beer if you wantbto kill some time too.
