Johnny's Pizza New Oxford

On our way back from an event in Abbotstown and we wanted something for a late lunch. Johnny's got good reviews and was on the way. It is a small shop with maybe half a dozen tables and a counter. Decorated with various license plates, automotive items and some 50s memorabilia. The woman at the counter was very nice as was the staff who we encountered as the food was delivered and as we were leaving. My friends ordered cheese steaks, I ordered a lunch special, sausage and pepper sub with fries. When the first cheese steak came out we all went wow, they were huge! Not expected. My 1/2 sub was as big as a normal one and it was accompanied by a nice portion of old school krinkle cut fries. The sub was to hot to pick up, baked in the over so I started on the fries. I’ve passed this place so often and am thrilled I finally stopped to check it out. Their stuffed meat pizza has two layers of dough to keep all the goodness from slipping off. The pizza crust is like eating breadsticks, so well flavored with herbs and garlic! The Stromboli is packed with cheese, so gooey. Their bacon ranch fries were chock full of bacon. Portion sizes are ginormous! Staff is funny and friendly! 10/10 loved it!

Nice little hidden gem. I always drove past this on 94. The shopping center looks old, never really looked at any of the shops. Then, one day, I wanted pizza and noticed there was a pizza place there. The inside looks very nice. Like a diner. It's small but mighty. I guess a lot of people order to go. We were there, and maybe 10 people came in for pick up. Delicious pizza. Picture perfect. You order at the counter. Paper plates and such.

I started doing electrical work in the area and stopped by to check this place out, and im glad I did. Their lunch menu has very good prices. Both gentlemen greeted me as soon as I walked in. The prices are better then going to a fast food place and spending 13-16 on one meal. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Hands down the best pizza locally. Dough was light and made to perfection. Side dish was excellent. Restaurant was clean and staff friendly. Prices affordable. It will be our pizza go to place. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
