We ordered delivery. The prices differ by delivery app so I would probably suggest cross-checking to find the lowest price. The chirashi bowl was good but pricey. I felt like I was mostly paying for beautiful packaging and wish I had asked for extra soy sauce. The quality of the fish was good. The rice was packed quite tightly. There are other Japanese restaurants in the area to compete.
I rarely write reviews, much less for a takeaway spot but even for New York the service was abysmal. Ordered the Salmon flight and the worker told us it would be a 10-15 minute wait but ended up being a 25+ minute wait. The box had a seal so couldn’t open it until we got home an hour later just for us to have gotten a completely incorrect, cheaper item. Made our way all the way back to get the correct item and the worker wouldn’t even look at us, much less apologize while she called the restaurant to remake the correct order. Waited another to get the correct item, she takes the opened incorrect item, puts another seal on it and brings it back upstairs, still without an apology. Hard to jam-pack such terrible service into what should’ve been a quick grab-n-go but Joji Box managed to with s
I order the Joji Box pretty regularly—about once a month—since I work in the same building. While I used to be completely obsessed with their takeout omakase box, I have to admit the quality has dipped slightly over time. It was incredibly fresh before, and though it’s not quite the same now, I still find myself going back whenever I’m craving sushi. Plus, if you work in the building, you get a 10% discount, which is a nice perk.
Highly recommend if you are looking for good sushi at a reasonable price for take out. The boxes were meticulously put together and it was evident that they take pride in presentation. Everything was spectacular. What an amazing find!
Absolutely incredible quality sushi. 60 dollars and waited 35 minutes and I have 0 regrets. Melts in your mouth and incredibly fresh and flavorful. I am half Japanese I'm VERY PICKY about my sushi.. and I 100% approve. WARNING - Do NOT get the already made ones. The rice will be cold and it won't be as fresh. Honestly they shouldn't even sell the premade packages because for the price, people will complain. I got one while I was waiting for my omasake order and It was very.. average.
