Jose Tequilas Mexican Grill and Bar

Visiting Norfolk and stopped by Jose Tequilas!! I felt welcomed (just like family/familia) from the time I walked in until the time I walked out. Mileny was amazing along with the rest of the staff. They checked on me several times and made sure everything was good. The salsa was impeccable along with the Birria tacos. I hate I’m just visiting because I didn’t want to leave. The house margarita mixed with the Sangria was so delicious and the house shot with coconut rum was smooth and so inviting. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Hasta la próxima mi amiga/amigo 😩😭😭

Holy cow what a place! And that’s coming from someone who lived in Mx and San Diego. Before we even sat down we had chips, salsa and waters. I did read a review prior to coming in that the portion sizes were decent. The portion sizes are HUGE! Man. We took home leftovers and I had Mexican for three days straight. ceviche is banging. The birra was mouthwatering. Come here for sure!!!

First time here and it was will worth it! We were greeted right when we walked in by a very nice host. Got seated right away on a busy Friday night. The waitress Mileny was very nice and patient as we couldn't figure out what to eat because there menu is awesome. Their salsa is out of this world too! She had to keep coming back to check when we were ready. She happily answered questions. We got our food really fast and it was fantastic! Large portions and really, really good! Everything tasted fresh and nice. Their prices are very fair, especially with the portion size. We are definitely coming back as this is now our #1 Mexican restaurant in Norfolk.

My best friend and I celebrated our Valentine’s Day, and I’m happy to say we had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was quite busy, but our server and host handled everything very well. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed drinks (we ordered The Incredible Margarita) that were both strong and tasty. We were also pleasantly surprised when we received two complimentary shots of tequila. Throughout our visit, we felt truly welcomed and treated with the respect and kindness that guests deserve. Given the holiday, we anticipated that service might be affected, but to our surprise, it was the complete opposite. Wow! Our first experience here tonight. All the employees we interacted with were so nice! Food came out super fast and was delicious. Portions were large. Drinks came out fast and were also delicious. Prices were completely reasonable. Decor and vibes were cool. Menu had lots of options but not an overwhelming amount. Music was at a reasonable volume. We will be back!
