Joseph's Bagel & Grill

today i was looking to get a lox bagel. i searched google maps, and most bagel places near me only had "lox spread", but josephs actually advertised a lox bagel. I showed up at about 12:50, apparently they recently changed their hours to close at 1pm on sundays from 3pm sundays. However, they were kind enough to accommodate me. they even gave me a free bag of chips and a donut. The bagel was packed with lox and was very good, next time ill have to arrive earlier to see what variety of bagels they offer but it definitely satisfied the craving. The donut, was an unexpected treat which i can tell was made in house and was very very good.

All I can say is since we moved here in 1998 we’ve been saying we need a bagel place like our hometown Bagel King. Our wish was finally granted . From the friendly service to the generosity of some free bagels , the bagels were just as we remembered from our childhood . Thank you for joining our community and we will sure be spreading the word. Thank you again for the awesome bagels today 😃

I visited the new store in Stratford and it was abysmal. The service was awful. The dude taking my order only listened to the first item and called it out to the grill; he did not return, and some poor girl at the counter took the rest of the order. When the first item was done, I had to sit around 10 minutes for the rest. After I placed the order and paid, I was told that they did not have panini bread — but, I already paid for 2 paninis. Not sure where to even start, it was a mess.

Horrible experience- only accepting cash, in this day and age isn’t a good sign of business! I called and placed a to go order - they never said orders are cash only - I walk in - no other customers in there - and the lady at the counter seemed confused about a pickup order, ( I’m starring at it on the counter btw ) I give it a minute, due to a language barrier - she’s talking with her cook/employee in the back - and I say I’m sorry I’m in a rush - then the cook/employee proceeds to tell me - CASH ONLY - like hello? Why didn’t u say that over the phone- waste of my time, and a waste of food! I don’t recommend calling in here- in a rush, especially if you don’t carry cash!

Good food, good portions, made fresh, and affordable. The staff were friendly and the store was clean, bright, and nicely decorated.
