JR’S CHICKEN

Best Mac Salad around, actually all their salads are good in general. Most of the menu is pretty good and the chicken is pretty tasty. My one complaint is with the website for ordering. For example the 2 piece breast snack description says it comes with one item but then it makes you pick two only to get there and it comes with none. Always check your orders before you leave. I really wish they would walk you thru the order as they bag it up. On more than one occasion I've been missing items. It's not a big deal if you catch it there but if you get home it can be annoying and disappointing. Really good food and a good place to support.

My Dad passed away 4 years ago today and he loved JR’s so much! It was a staple for his lunch the last two years of his life. To commemorate i went and got lunch there today. I got a 2 piece snack with a salad bar because I couldn’t decide on the side. I asked if o could take the 2 piece snack home in a box and they wouldn’t let me. I’m not going to eat all that chicken in one sitting. I was told absolutely not. Made a sad day even more sad 😢 I just wanted to take the chicken home, that’s all. I believe in rules but man can you guys have a heart?? 😭😭 i think 1 to go box wouldn’t have hurt anybody.I wont ever be back. I never ever do this as I am an overly generous tipper but I did not tip at all. Such a bummer,

I will say I had my food delivered by DoorDash, but the dasher came straight to me after picking it up. When I say these are some of the worst chicken gizzards I’ve ever had, I mean they are almost unedible. They taste more like raw flower than any kind of seasoning. The “breading” is soggy and falling off. The only way I thought I could eat them was covering them in ranch dressing. Even ranch dressing couldn’t save them. First time having JR’s. Probably will be the last time.

The food was delicious. Prices weren't bad. It just had a funky smell to the restaurant. It seemed really clean. But the chicken was fantastic. It melted in your mouth. So tender and juicy. Would definitely recommend that wanted some great chicken. I got the all you can eat chicken and they brought out enough chicken I was stuffed.

Stopped in with my brother and father in law cuz we were all hungry and we found this place with wholesome home cooking. We had the salad buffet with their home made fried chicken. Thumbs up for their food! Their salads are delicious and their fried chicken is definitely a winner winner chicken dinner! I saved the location for when I revisit Kankakee.
