Julio’s On Main

The food at Julio’s is really good but our experience lately with the service has been awful. It also seems like portions are getting smaller. Last time we dined in, we were there for almost 2 hours and with two small kids, that was less than ideal. Had to ask multiple times for just drink refills. As for take out, the last 5 times we have ordered we were waiting in the restaurant for over 20 minutes after the time it said it would be ready, even at 4:30 pm during the week. It’s very frustrating. Last time our packaging was clearly rushed and the sauce spilled all over our food and car. Anyway, if you’re prepared for the long wait, it’s worth a try. Not sure if it’s worth it to us anymore which is super disappointing.

Unfortunate. I write this as someone who was in the service industry for 3 years and has a passion for customer experience. We waited almost an hour for our order of barbacoa. A table next to us sat down 20 minutes after us and got their food 10 minutes before us. The server did not check in on us at all from bringing the appetizer out until 30 minutes later just before the entrees came out. When we checked in with the server to see if our order was ok, she said the barbacoa was holding it up but it would be just 5 more minutes. This was later confirmed false by the owner and it was a mix up with our order that held the order back. When the barbacoa did finally come out, it did not come with handmade tortillas, just bagged factory made tortillas. The menu lists “12 handmade tortillas” r

If you have not been here yet Julio’s on Main is an absolute must. I ordered the birria tacos with sides of street corn and Mexican rice. The tacos were full of tender shredded beef and cheese and the broth had great depth of flavor without being overly spicy or salty. The rice was tender and the corn had a great lime flavor. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out. They have a new expanded dining room and as I was checking out I spoke to the owner and he said they will be starting brunch soon as well.

Very nice place! Authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff. Would be nice if they offered mild salsa with the complimentary tortilla chips as the two options on the plate were a bit too spicy for us. The place is clean & spacious. I had Surf and Turf fajitas and the steak was very tender, the shrimp had a nice flavor to it as well. Generous portions at a reasonable price. 👌🏼

This place is amazing especially the strawberry horchata and enchiladas and there churro cheesecake. I really enjoyed myself there and i loved the street corn too
