Customer Reviews
My cousin spoiled my child with some real good southern soul food over the holidays and he asked me where we could find food like that around our area, we'll we chose this place due to location 😒 and although it was quite expensive decided to try. The cornbread usually is my fave and this one was soo burnt and dry 😩 the bag and food was apparently so greasy I couldn't get it out the plastic bag .. the greens yams and catfish was very good but service was very rude and I see now why it was empty. I probably wont be back there the burnt and overly greased food turned me off.
Eat at your own risk! We had ox tails...well more like calf tails because I've never had an ox tail that small. For $30 a plate we should have had a full ox tails. The ox tail pan was old, you can tell so she had to go to the back for a fresh pan. Glory greens should be against the law! What happened to people cooking fresh greens!?? Then the building, the building is so old, I get it but why not put some TLC in to it. Like, a little paint goes a long way!! Ceiling looks like it'll drop on your head! No curtains, no blinds! Just some tables and tvs...drink machines are all out of order, even though i wouldn't drink anything from them. This is why its so hard to support our people! We got to do better!! If the dining room looked like an abandoned building I can ONLY imagine what that
The food was delicious. I was disappointed more customers weren't present. It's a shame that black owned businesses aren't supported
The food was great! The staff was friendly and helpful.
There was plenty of seating. There was a service buffet where they served what you selected, like at Lubys. The oxtails were small and not seasoned. The bacon in the cabbage could have been cooked more. The red Kool-aid drink was very sugary. The bathroom was clean, but it smelled like a backed up sewer.
