I am starting a new theme in my reviews "Best kept secrets" The best in its class (i.e. Mexican/Chinese/Pizza/Chicken etc. My 1st review is J & V El Eden Restaurant..weird & too long a name..but when you eat there, you will stop throwing away your money at Taco Belll & any other mexican Restaurant This little "hole in the wall" Mexican Restaurant reminded me of eating in Mexico /Acapulco & Mexican city...& Jaurez Tonight tried their steak & chicken taco for only $3.75 had triple the meat of TACO Bell and was freshly cooked to perfection.. It's chips are made daily..it's sauces & guacamole unbelievable Once you eat there, you'll maynever eat any Mexican foods elsewhere Rating 5 star Actually 10 stars on a 5 point scale Best in class Finally, frederick 's Best kept secret..actuall
So my husband is a big and beautifully caramel skinned mixed Mexican and he went here to get food for us. So funny how his plate was so small and skimpy with the meat portions and my daughter’s plate was only a quarter serving of white rice with the tray pressed in to give the illusion of a full tray. My steak plate was not good mostly tomatoes sauce of some sort causing severe heart burn and my daughter’s head was hurting the entire evening. And he waited extra for the food. Disappointing experience.
I’ve only had the soup here. Mainly the sopa de res but we’ve had the Sopa de pollo, Sopa de Res (pictured), and Sopa de Mondongo (Pictured) and all delicious! The platanos were also delicious! Never disappoints when I’m craving my moms cooking but can’t go to her house.
I got four tacos. Shrimp,Asada,Chorizo and fish. I wish they had other fish tacos besides tilapia but all the tacos were full and loaded. They were good too. I must say when I normally get chorizo tacos sometimes they are way too seasoned but these chorizo tacos were perfect.
Came back today. My wife and I love the Birra tacos!
