I tried the kabob platter at Kabul Castle Kabob and it was a great Afghan meal. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, topped with sweet carrots and raisins. The kabobs were tender and nicely grilled, especially the chicken which was juicy and well seasoned. The meal also came with fresh bread, a crispy samosa, chickpeas, sabzi, and a fresh salad, which made the plate feel complete. The portions were generous, the quality was high, and the price was very reasonable for the quantity you get. A very satisfying and authentic Afghan meal.
A bit low key but the food is very delicious. High quality ingredients were used. Highly recommend this place, especially the lamb Kabob.
Delicious food and excellent service! Even though I had slightly higher expectations for the food, it still satisfied our cravings for mashawi. The overall experience was lovely, and the staff were so welcoming and kind. Here are my ratings: • Beef sambosa 3/10 • Hummus 9/10 • Manto 7/10 • Beef kabob 4/10 (it was overcooked) • Chicken kabob 8/10 • Kabob kobedah 6/10 • Lamb chops 4/10 (also overcooked) • Rice 9/10 The overall experience was nice, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, which made us feel really comfortable throughout our visit.
I was in town for 6 days and ended up eating here 4 times. Excellent value and flavor. I had the: 1) $10 daily special, which was a chicken bowl. 2) $15 gyro and fries. 3) $30 lamb chops plate which is prolly enough to feed 2 people. I was impressed with how fresh the food was and the quality and qtty of the protein, especially for its afforbility. The staff is very friendly and the main guy remembered me after just my first visit. I look forward to coming back some day. If you like spicy, be sure to get a side of their jalapeno sauce.
On 08/21, via uber eats I ordered a beef kebab which arrived in an unacceptable condition. The kebab had visible mold and an unpleasant smell, which made it look and feel unsafe to consume. For health and safety reasons, I decided not to eat the food. I strongly don’t recommend this place, had only negative experience after these all.
