anybody who gives this place anything less than 5 stars should not be trusted. this place is phenomenal and known for the most delicious white sauce. Ask anyone from my family when we come here, wallahi we end up putting more white sauce than we know what to do with. The whole plate can be drowning in it and it’s still amazing. Came here with my friend recently and was given baklava that was also so amazing. Staff were so kind. Love this place keep up the amazing work. Been supporting for years and years more to come!
During my last trek around Flushing, Queens, I scampered into this Afghan restaurant offering grilled meats that can be viewed from the storefront window. On this visit, I started with the Hommus (their spelling), which was served with warm pita. It was slightly spicy, creamy, and smooth. My main course was grilled lamb chops served over a bed of green rice and sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly medium-rare as expected. The green rice was also delicious and loosely grained with lima beans and herbs. This dish was also served with a grilled tomato, which should be left out and seemed an unnecessary addition to a needless filler. It was bland and not appetizing to say the least. Overall, a good meal that may set you back about $55.00 for just me. I, on the other hand, will not be returni
The food over here's great and the portions size is huge, but the food isn't the problem. The problem is that they automatically charge you 18% "service charge" when they're not actually serving you. They don't even give you a glass of water to drink from so there's no glass to come around and refill. So I think it's very greedy of them to automatically charge 18% regardless of party size.
This is my favorite Afghani place to eat at. The portions are great and the meat tastes so so good. Not overly salty or not too bland its perfect. The green rice ( lima beans and dill) is so amazing but only available on weekends. The staff who is always in the front is extremely kind and helpful. I would order here again.
This was my very first time trying Afghan food, and it was so flavorful and delicious! My favorite dish were the lamb chops and the chicken (I think it was combo number 1), served with both brown and white rice. The chicken samosas were absolutely divine, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor. I was really impressed and I’d definitely recommend trying this place because it surely won’t be my last.
