Kanoon Restaurant

The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with a simple but attractive dining table arrangement. The food is delicious and very tasty. The ribs and lamb are perfectly grilled, juicy and tender. The fries are also very flavorful and delicious. InsyaAllah would come again whenever we're in the States.

Kanoon in Clifton is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We ordered the T-Bone Steak and Smoked Lamb Shoulder…..and wow, the meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with authentic flavors that transported us straight to the Middle East. The sides were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and everything arrived at our table hot and fast, even on a busy evening. The service was top-notch…..our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to recommend dishes that hit the spot. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the whole experience left us stuffed and smiling. This is hands-down the best spot for kabobs and Mediterranean cuisine in the area. I recently visited Kanoon and tried three dishes: the Kanoon Meat Platter, the Mix Grill, and the Boneless Ribeye Steak. Out of all of them, the Mix Grill was definitely the standout flavorful, well seasoned, and easily the highlight of the meal.On the other hand, I wouldn’t recommend the Kanoon Meat Platter. It just didn’t deliver the taste or quality I expected, especially compared to the other items. We arrived around 4 PM, and there were no other customers at the time. While we were seated right away, it took a noticeable amount of time before we actually received our menus, which was a bit disappointing given how empty the restaurant was.That said, the atmosphere inside Kanoon is genuinely great warm, inviting, and nicely put together. My wife wanted to try out Kanoon, so we stopped by on a Saturday night. The place was moderately busy, and we were seated within a minute — a nice start. Unfortunately, things went downhill a bit after that. We sat for about 5–6 minutes without getting any menus, so I ended up grabbing them myself from the front. It then took another 10 minutes before a server came by to take our order — only after my wife waved someone over. On a brighter note, the ambiance is pleasant — the space feels a little tight but stylish and cozy, with a nice overall vibe. The smoked beef shank, Kanoon special fries, and fresh mint lemonade were absolutely delicious—highlight of our meal! However, the smoked brisket prime Angus beef was really dry and lacked flavor (even though we were warned about the dryness, we expected more flavor). Mixed grill was okay! The Outdoor Seating could use upgrades—our table mats had holes, and there was a slight leak when it rained (though it was manageable). Overall, some dishes make this place worth visiting, but a few tweaks (especially on the brisket and seating) would be great!
