Kelly's Roast Beef

Was very curious about Kelly’s post-PE acquisition. I’ve been coming to the Danvers location since it opened. Typically, always amazing. I’m not sure if all locations have declined, but Danvers is noticeable. Honestly would have been two stars, but the Frappes still seem to be the same as they were. Fries have been changed & Grilled Cheese was mediocre at best. Three stars is absolutely generous, unfortunately.

This place gets a lot of hate, especially since the new ownership has taken over. Tonight the beef was perfect. Frank the manager took my order. I asked for a rare beef and he delivered! Food was hot and fresh. Thank you Frank!

We’ve been to Kelly’s, 25 years ago. We had an expectation and certainly looked forward to this visit. The food was 4 star easily. Healthy portions, fresh and good flavor. The roast beef is just that, roast beef with a bun. Nothing comes with it that you won’t be paying for. That leaves a fairly bland sandwich but the roast beef was fairly flavorful. The lobster roll, also healthy portion and this was tasty. Onion rings sweet as can be and the chili fries, not bad but not running back for these. The outside area was clean and the tables in good repair. The greeter/ordertaker could have used a smaller or personality but it’s forgiving. The menu has no prices! That should really be the first sign. The increased cost in eating out today is unfortunately not met with an increase in effort to

Just tried a roast beef sandwich at Kelly’s Danvers. Sorry, but not even close to as good as Bill & Bobs or Maria’s in Beverly Center. The fact is, Maria’s is FAR BETTER in quality, quantity and price than both Kelly’s and Bill & Bobs. They pack their sandwiches with delicious lean roast beef and shave it very thin. Maria’s is a smaller local-type restaurant, but you’ll never be disappointed with anything you order there! Excellent pizza, subs, and gyros, etc. Great staff and reasonable prices too.

The manager honored our coupon. Very professional conversation too.
