Kelz House of Grits

About a week ago while heading somewhere else we noticed a sign for Kelz. We decided to stop by last night to kick off the birthday weekend for my friend. We were greeted immediately by the Manager, Chris. He was wonderful the entire time. The space is very intimate, but also includes a covered back porch where you can dine. The food was amazing! We started off with the $2 oyster special. The flavors and were exceptional. For our mains we ordered shrimp and grits and the crab stuffed salmon with fried broccoli and collard greens. My friend cleaned her plate! There weren’t any grits left. We both thought the salmon was cooked perfectly and the greens were seasoned well. The portion sizes are also not lacking! My only suggestion would be to add more signage on Euclid during the day. While I

I work in the neighborhood and try to keep it real as possible no bias, but every time I hit Kelz I leave full and happy! Glad to know we have great food in the neighborhood and a variety of options! Today I got the shrimp po boy and I felt rich! Chef Chris (the house chef) is an absolute master at what he does and I give this spot 20 out of 10! Make sure y’all push up and give this food a try! Sidenote they have oysters!

Let me start from the time u walk in- it’s a very beautiful intimate setting & welcomed by the manager Chris who has great conversation and makes u feel as though your experience is tailored to u. There are tvs that you can enjoy watching the game or just vibe to the scenery. Then, the food…it’s hands down one of the best plates I’ve had in my life! Chef Christian is to be commended for the way he put his menu together, it’s absolutely amazing! I had the crab stuffed salmon, fried broccoli, and yams. Although I was skeptical about the yams bcuz the juice was a little watery but the sweetness was cooked into the yams. I had the pleasure of going to their Grand Opening! I’m a fan of shrimp & grits because I’m a pescatarian. I was welcomed with love & high energy. I loved the music (I don’t like hood music all the time) it was more slow R&B. It’s more of an intimate type of Vibe. They have limited of seating & I love that so it makes it not super crowded. I will say I would have wanted a little bit more seasoning on the Shrimp & Salmon. The oyster was exquisite

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! The turkey spaghetti was amazing! I was so happy to see the turkey option. If you're in Little Five Points make your way there. You won't be disappointed. Don't judge the pic, it smelled so good I started eating before taking the picture. 😬
