Ken's Bar-B-Que

We want to first say that the atmosphere and staff were very nice, quick to provide and a very beautiful establishment. However the food left something to be desired. Husband’s $11 BBQ beef plate was just shaved beef with lettuce and tomato. My $16 club was decent. Turkey tasted like deli meat. Children’s chicken finger plate was $8 and he got one singular chicken finger. I know sometimes they go off weight but that was a little absurd. Baked beans and Brunswick stew (only available Sept-March) were the star of the show. Overall, we would not travel off of 75 to return here but if you’re in the area I think it could be worth another try.

First visit! I ordered the Senior Platter Pork with Fried Corn on the Cob. My wife ordered French Fries with Chopped Chicken and Cheese. It's not in the menu choices, but they made it for her. The food was delicious. We really liked the Sweet BBQ Sauce. Overall, we were really pleased! This location is highly recommended.

A preacher, a cop, and A HR Director all walk into a BBQ joint…. I’m not from around these parts but I found the whole town here when I stopped by for a quick bite. The sliced pork was delicious, the sauces were on point, the beans were perfectly flavored and don’t even get me started on that garlic bread. Despite the place being packed out, service was quick and I was back on the road. PS, I’m the HR director in this story

We had a group of six and were greeted at the door and seated very quickly!! Our waitress(didn’t catch her name) was very friendly and efficient except she only offered refills to those of us with 1/2 and 1/2 tea for some reason. We got our food rather quickly. I’m from NC so I know bbq and to me it is almost sac religious not to have hush puppies or cornbread with bbq and Brunswick stew. The bbq beef or chicken had ZERO seasoning!! Bbq sauce is suppose to enhance meat flavor not just be the only flavor!! The “hot” sauce had no heat at all!! The Brunswick stew I’m use to has pork beef and chicken and butter beans potatoes and corn. This only had chicken(I think) and corn!! I don’t like to do bad reviews but then again how can a place do better if they don’t know and I want all businesses t

Overpriced and no value to the food. Quantity and quality of food for the price is laughable. Was overcharged and when asked the waitress acted like I was in the wrong. Would not recommend. Most of these 5 star posts are clearly nostalgic lake city ppl who dont want to put down a local business. Sonnys is better in quality and value.
