I was pleasantly surprised by this new Georgian gem. The atmosphere strikes that perfect 'family vibe'—warm, welcoming, and authentic. The Ghomi (traditional grits with mushrooms) was a standout; it’s a simple dish, but executed to perfection. Adjaruli and beef Khachapuri were packed with the fresh herbs and spices that make Georgian cuisine so unique. Everything felt truly homemade. The Mykola Ukrainian Milk Stout was a fantastic complement to the rich flavors 🍻. Highly recommend!
This is my second time coming here. Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is unique and don’t even get me to pronounce the dishes but the staff is so helpful with explanations of the food and recommendations, most importantly. A very carefree, European style restaurant. Every dish came out absolutely delicious. Highly recommend adding it to your list, even if you aren’t an adventurous eater
I heard about the Georgian restaurant Khachapuri and had to try it with my friends. The food was amazing, the service awesome! Everyone there was so kind, like a family. Their Georgian fresh salad was refreshingly delicious. The Adjaruli bread boat is now a favorite. The Imeruli and Kubdari flavorful and filling. Don't forget the sauce with the Kubdari! It's so good! For drinks, love the tarragon soda. We also had a lovely bottle of Tsinandali wine. I'm not the wine expert but I really enjoyed it paired with the food.
Finally found authentic Ojakhuri in San Diego! The flavors were spot on. They also carry Kazbegi beer, which is a rare find and a must-try. Beyond the food, the service was 10/10. The owner, Marko, is a fantastic host. He is originally from Georgia and brings that famous Georgian hospitality to the US. He shared his journey from Tbilisi to San Diego with us and even poured us some complimentary white wine. Support this local business—Marko is building something special here.
Excellent food that makes Georgian food approachable (if you haven't tried it before, you should!) while still offering authentic options for anyone already familiar with it or even missing Georgia. I especially recommend the pkhali appetizer plate, the eggplant rolls/badrijani nigvzit, and the satsivi (pictured). Very flexible menu for vegetarians and there are vegan options, too. We went for dinner on a weekend, and although it became busy the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend, as this is some of the best Georgian food I've had outside of the Republic of Georgia itself!
