The service was exceptional and the food was fantastic. I started with the green curry octopus which was a really excellent balance of flavors and textures. The mango salmon was cooked beautifully and paired nicely with the rice and delicious sauce. It was a meal rich with flavor but not heavy.

Khâluna continues to impress with its flavors and creativity and visited them on Oct 13. The valet parking is convenient and smooth -- definitely a plus when the restaurant gets busy. The food was excellent as always. I absolutely love their Basil Wings and Duck Fried Rice -- both are packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. I tried their congee again this time; while I prefer the duck congee they serve in the winter, the quail congee offered in summer is still delicious and lighter, perfect for the season. The dessert was a standout -- sweet, tangy, and beautifully presented (photo attached). I can't remember the name, but it had berries and a lovely balance of textures and flavors. If anyone from the restaurant sees this, please help me identify it because I'd absolutely order it aga

I chose Khaluna for our second anniversary. And they did not disappoint. Entry is a bit small and crowded for how large and busy the place is. I do recommend reservations. As soon as you walk in though you're greeted with a smile and walk into a Loatian resort setting. A bit noisy but the seating arrangement allowed for a very easy conversation without yelling across the table. Our table service was top notch. I've never been taken care of so well with drink pairings, suggestions and we were checked in on and our table kept orderly not just by our server Laurie. I did not get a pick of our plate for the table of grilled octopus but I can't praise this plate enough. Prepared to perfection it was light with a nice outer texture with green curry and peas and potato puree that I'm still drooli

We had our small wedding ceremony in the private event space at Khaluna. We chose this location because we had dined at Khâluna many times before and were always blown away by both the food and the service! We worked with Payton to assist with planning, who was amazing—highly responsive, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at ease. Payton guided our menu selections thoughtfully to accommodate both vegan and non-vegan options, all of which turned out wonderful. Payton even helped customize the menu with our own logo, which was such a special touch. On the day of, the space was beautifully decorated, so we had very little to set up beforehand. Sarah assisted us during the event and was attentive and kind throughout. The only minor hiccup was that dinner service ran a bit past our al

Brilliant menu, terrific presentation, a great time. Several years ago, I visited Luang Prabang, the epicenter of Lao cuisine. I was blown away and lingered to sample broadly and take three cooking classes. Khaluna means compassion and this restaurant expresses compassion from the details of its decor, to its menu, food preparation, deserts, and cocktails. Look at these shrimp rolls! I had duck fried rice. My only regret was eating alone so I could not run the menu. I'll be back. Alice was a terrific server and guide.
