We had such a great experience at Kiku! I took my niece for hibachi and she had a blast. She was a little scared when the fire flared up, but she couldn’t stop smiling and ended up loving every minute of it. The chef was entertaining, the food was delicious, and the whole atmosphere made it a fun, memorable night. We’ll definitely be back!
I'm really, really sad to write this review. Growing up, this was THE place to go. Every birthday, celebration, etc. It was always spectacular. Last time I went was probably write before COVID when I was 20. I went this past week for Valentines Day and I unfortunately will never be going again. First off, when I called to make a reservation, the person on the phone was extremely rude. No hello, just a "Kiku Alpine". When I asked for a reservation, they took my info and said "ok" and hung up. No confirmation, no "thanks" or "have a nice day". When I arrived for our reservation it was exactly the same. No smiles or warm service. The waitress was extremely impersonal. No smile. No "How are you?" Just came up and said "what do you want to drink?". Drinks took forever to come, water never cam
I’ve been going there for probably 30 years. The food is always great. The service has always been an issue. After tonight I won’t be going back. We were stalked the entire meal by Ramen the GM. There were empty tables during my entire meal. He basically told us to finish our drinks at the bar 5 minutes after they sang happy birthday at our table. The service was off tonight. Our soup didn’t come out until the chef was already putting food on our dishes. The drinks were very slow. After our meal we were confronted just after drinks were brought to our table that we ordered while eating. Very rude. I always bring a full table of people and tip everyone well. There are plenty of other hibachi places out there, time to go back to mt Fuji. I’m sure they will appreciate peo
my daughter and her friends went at 6pm 12-31-25 with 15 people the owner was rude and the waitress was mean they asked for sauce they said they didn’t have any then they checked everyone’s id all 15 people were 21-22 years old after first round they cut all of them off and said they weren’t 21 they all had real nj 21 year old id’s also asked if they can take a picture of the group they said no then wouldn’t move out of the way for the picture wouldn’t go back also was there last year and a cockroach ran across the grill i didn’t say anything bc that’s how i am but now since this horrible service screw them look at posted pic waitress would not move next time its mount fuji
1 Micheline star. They should hire more inviting / friendly receptionist. Receptionist came up to me while I walked in and ask if I want to eat certain dish without directing me to my table. I've never in my life ask that question at any restaurant:) Lingerling Clorox odor but taste of their cod broth soup over ride all above complains. It's that good^^
