This is my first time here. Is so true what they say. The food and the amount they give. I ordered a large oxtail, a large curry goat, a large order of curry chicken wow tasteful and a beef patty. Now they have a customer for life. I don’t have to go nowhere else but this spot yes is a line but let me tell you it’s worth it just be patient. She will come out. Take your order and I’m eating right now. I’m eating jerk chicken curry goat oxtail this place is a 5 Star a 5 Star matter of fact, beyond the five stars triple diamond 💎 💎 💎I have write again. While eating tasting the ingredients like an explosion driving my tastebuds crazy. They need to open one or two three restaurants in the Dykeman area 200 street. And the portion just want thank God for this lovely cozy place. And for the worke
Grea Jamaican takeout spot with wonderful dishes. Stewed chicken always a hit. Jerk, curry chicken or oxtails also favorites. Sometimes a bit of a line outside or need to wait 20min for another batch of items.
I saw this on Instagram recently and knew I had to try it. Lo and behold I found myself in Harlem one day and I made a bee line! There was a short line in front of this take-out only spot. It truly is the definition of no frills. There is barely enough room for two customers to stand side by side. A menu is available above the counter otherwise everything is behind plexiglass. The cuisine is Jamaican - Caribbean. Stew peas, brown-stew chicken, curry goat and chicken, oxtail and more are on deck. I asked for the small curry chicken, but they were out! I panicked and got the fried chicken. It looked she was about to tell me they were out of that as well. But she went in the back and in about 5 minutes was walking out the door with a nice heavy plate. I was shocked at how heavy it was consi
I came across this restaurant on IG. I decided to give it a try and visited in early October 2024. I didn’t realize I’ve always passed by this restaurant and would see the line out the door. I figured the wait must be worth it and finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the small stew chicken $6 which came with rice and peas and cabbage (with peas and carrots) and a side of baked macaroni and cheese. Although I ordered a small I thought it was a huge serving. The food was actually really good. Since it’s a Caribbean restaurant, I was nervous the stew chicken might have been spicy. But no complaints here I was able to enjoy it. It didn’t come with a free beverage as it advertises on IG. The restaurant accepts cash or card.
I ordered oxtail with no gravey ! The rice was swimming in gravey no to mention the amount of fat was on the oxtail I refuse to believe these people cleaned this meat . Wasted my $28
