King's Chef

The egg drop soup was already premade and very watery. The chicken & great beans was awful. It seems that the chicken is precooked or steamed and then thrown together. The chicken was like rubber. I gave them another try after many years, but never again.

I like shredded Beef with garlic sauce! I'm a lover of Chinese take out. I live in Florida, it's not like pizza, you can't get good pizza in Florida. You can get decent Chinese takeout! So to be long winded I'll get to the point. KING'S CHEF as a local take out meet all the points! My sister in law is in St Catherine's Hospital and you know how Hospital food tastes. Well I brought her the Eggroll and she couldn't say enough about it, along with the fact that she devoured it and said it was delicious! I had my Shredded Beef with garlic sauce and vegetables with pork fried rice. It was mouth watering fantastic. I give your entire team A+ on the flavor, presentation, portion size and quality of ingredients. Thank you for coming to our hunger in a time of need!!!!

The lady that works sometimes, I think her name is Alice, is such a sweetheart! I get my Chinese food from the Bronx usually but holy moly the food here is way way better! Can't wait to stop by again sometime in the future :)

My son called in for an order and the service is terrible here. There was a confusion with the order and instead of politely talking it out, the man taking the order immediately goes to yelling at the top of his lungs very aggressively so we just hang up. I wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star and I won’t ever be ordering from this place again. Edit: His reply is just hilarious. He claims he didn’t understand the order, but he literally mentions it in the first sentence of his reply. The order was clearly repeated back to him on the phone when he asked and he immediately resorted to yelling at the top of his lungs. His excuses for yelling at the top of his lungs for a minor confusion is also hilarious.

It annoys me to no end that people in our community will bash a business with a single star for what is frequently a very minor issue. Even worse, is the appalling tendency to be pissed off when there's a language issue. The people at this restaurant are lovely, caring, friendly members of our community. Whether I walk in or answer the door for a delivery, I see the same faces as I have for years. King's Chef has been a trusted, reliable Chinese restaurant in Smithtown for decades. I agree with anyone who scores them low for "atmosphere." But come on, friends, this is a classic "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant. There is Zero ambience. It's almost exclusively a take out or delivery restaurant. You go to them for their food, not the decor or ambience. With this said, it's kept spotles
