Kingston 7 Jamaican Cuisine

Delicious food & friendly service. We got the braised ox tail with beans and rice, and the jerk chicken pasta. Flavor on both dishes was great, and the drinks (sorrel and ginger) were also delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

We stumbled upon Kingston 7 on opening day while driving through the parking lot on our way to Dollar Tree, and the Jamaica-shaped logo immediately caught my eye. I looked at my husband and said, “OMG, is that a Jamaican restaurant… here in Cherokee County?” We ran our errands and came back for lunch — and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, it felt like family. We were greeted with a complimentary sample of sorrel, Jamaican patois coming from the kitchen, and music playing in the background. It felt authentic, like being welcomed into someone’s home. We ordered curry chicken and oxtail with rice and peas and steamed vegetables. Best oxtail we’ve had in the GA! I’m a NY Jamaican that’s lived in ATL for 5 years now and typically don’t order oxtail when out because I’ve been disappointed before. We tried it here along with two beef patties and ginger drinks and were thoroughly satisfied. It was all delicious, pleasant service and fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to return!!

My husband & I went here for the first time on Sunday. We chatted it up with the son of the owner, loved him! The service was amazing and food was too! We will back soon! They even have DoorDash!

Glad we found this place! Great Jamaican food and the service was amazing! Jerk chicken was perfect as well as the rice and beans! I will be coming back for sure!
