Kirkwood Branch Library

They were unwilling to give me a library card without a $40 yearly fee because my address said Decatur. Where the Kirkwood Library is located is the closest library accessable to my home. I understand there are tax implications for where someone resides, but it seems like a silly delineation for a library to make. Especially when located so near a county line and without making exceptions for people within a couple of miles. I'm sure you'd get the same thing at a DeKalb county library if you were from Fulton county, but geez people, learn to work cooperatively.

It's a smaller library, but quiet, clean, and enjoyable. It's location is stellar (walkable) and it's cute on the outside. The librarians were sweet and patient. It was my first time visiting, but it was a nice experience.

Attended a talk by an artist. The staff were very gracious and helpful. Beautiful art work.

I came to get some work done on a Saturday afternoon. Around 4:45 pm, rap music started being played *loudly* across the library (speakers and all), and staff seemed to endorse this? It was obvious that those of us who were trying to work were disturbed by the loud music. I personally couldn't understand why a library was chosen for an activity like this. It was so distracting and so out of place for a working environment that I left. It was my first time coming to this location. I doubt I'll be back.

This is my favorite library location in the Fulton Library System by far! The head librarian is very community minded, and gets to know everyone personally. I can order any book needed from the system, and get it immediately. The library is very clean and quiet. Everyone is always very polite.
