Kitchen In The Gardens Caribbean Restaurant

This place used to be called Macca Tree. The parking is free, easy, and plentiful. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and patient. I ordered brown stew chicken, rice & peas and steamed veggies, with a cream soda. The cream soda was delicious. The chicken was bland. It didn't taste authentic at all. It was dry and was missing something. I think they used browning in the bottle instead of browning the sugar in a pan. I didn't taste any tomato or Ketchup in the sauce either. The chicken definitely could've been better. The rice was dry, which is weird. I don't think I've ever experienced dry rice before. And the veggies were blah. Hopefully, I caught them on a bad day and this is not a representation of what they are truly capable of. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Affordable, large portions, and super friendly staff. My best friend took me to lunch here, and I have back been almost every day since. I have treated my coworkers here and they loved the food. There’s 3 lunch specials to choose from for less then $6 from 11:00-3:00 p.m. on weekdays. You can enjoy nice music videos while you wait. It’s always a pleasure each visit. I have only tried the curry chicken and jerk chicken with peas and rice, if course topped with oxtail gravy. I’m not a rice eater, but their rice isn’t too dry or too mushy. It’s just right!!

Yum I have been to many different Jamacan or Caribbean restaurants this one is the bomb 5.00 lunch was the best food I had in a long While ya man from a main land boy I had jerk chicken it was great with the special rice And banana and salad with cranberry didn’t need dressing Wow the place is very clean. Employees very helpful and friendly always busy.

Brown stew chicken lunch special was flavorful, Smokey and sweet. Lots of rice and peas. For a good price.

Catered food for my event and everything was delicious. The Mac and cheese was delicious, the jerk chicken was juicy and taste great. Wings were flavorful. They had everything ready on time and the customer service was great. Great food, I will be coming back for sure
