I adore Kobe's sushi rolls and tea. It is delicious and never disappoints. My favorites are the eel, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon rolls. However, the sweet potato and the Philadelphia rolls were also standouts. I typically get the sushi roll lunch special, selecting two or three rolls with soup and salad for a great deal. They have a hibachi lunch special too but I haven't ordered that in years. Despite it being delicious I'm a sushi girl through and through. The drinks are $5 during happy hour. Which is awesome if you are into adult beverages. They serve sake and ramen here as well. One of my favorite spots in Waldorf! I've been coming here for years but lately I've been visiting every other week.
I’ve been to the restaurant twice for the month and will definitely be a go to for sushi. The sushi tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant is small and has a bar area for seating. The service was good as well.
Overall, the food was good. The sushi was fresh, made in-house, and came out quickly. The pork steamed dumplings were excellent, and the calamari was tasty as well. The Seafood Tom Yum soup, however, wasn’t quite what I expected, it was heavy on tomatoes and celery flavor, which made it feel more like a vegetable soup with Tom Yum as an afterthought. I wouldn’t order it again. The sushi and dumplings, though, were definitely on point, and while the yum yum sauce wasn’t exactly what I’m used to, it was still enjoyable.
This review is solely based on my to go experience. I ordered online and picked my food up. I was just leaving Pilates so I didn’t have my wallet, they have tap to pay which is a major plus! I gave the atmosphere 4 out of 5 stars because it is a bit dated inside. You can tell it’s clean though. The bar is a bit small. However, the sushi, it is very fresh! I would definitely recommend this place. Plenty of parking.
Service was very weird. The lunch special was a good price and the sushi was delicious. The peanut avocado roll was very unique and is now one of my favorites. They had a baking show on TV which was actually kind of awesome?
