Kolapasi Indian Canteen - Greenville SC

YUM!!! Not your average Indian cuisine. This is more southern cuisine ( no heavy cream sauces). You can build your own bowls with your choice of rice and two sides. They offer samples so you know what to expect. I love dosa and jumped at the opportunity to have one. The dosa was huge and came with rasam and two chutneys. I will get a second, or most of a second meal out of this. Service was prompt and courteous. They have a small dining room jr you can choose take out. There is a website so you can order ahead.

I came on a quiet night, which gave the servers plenty of time to answer all my questions about the menu. It was my first visit, and they were patient, kind, and attentive. My spouse and I ordered several dishes (I can’t remember all their names, but they were delicious). I do recall the Pepper Chicken and Coconut Rice: both were flavorful and comforting. We also tried the Mango Lassi and their flaky bread, which were delightful. Everything we had was delicious, and I would definitely return.

Food here was incredible. Very impressed with the authenticity of the south indian curries. The spice level was perfect. I have grown up with authentic south indian food and can most definitely say this meets the standard. Service was great and I do enjoy the option to try the curries prior to choosing as a first timer. Price and quantity we very satisfactory as well. Place was clean with all expected amenities along with a hand wash station which was a great touch. We will be back again for sure.

this spot has been on our list to try for so long and we’re glad we stopped by today! everything was so flavorful and delicious—very homemade, soulful food. the guy at the front let us try stuff and made suggestions based on our preferences which was nice as well. the owner was really kind, came out and introduced himself and gave us some parotta to go with our meals. :) this’ll be a regular stop for us in no time. thank you!

Stopped by for a quick late afternoon meal. Admittedly, I was a little skeptical. We have really great Indian in this town. Kolapasi answered our curry craving and quickly. What a great alternative to drive through cheeseburgers or chicken strips. My son devoured cashew chicken, butter chicken and rice. Plus, VEGETABLES! Actual veggies, not a salad. Their "water is not a commodity" stance seals the deal for me. I'm a fan.
