Kuro (in Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood)

I had an amazing experience at Kuro, the Japanese sushi restaurant inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Fort Lauderdale. I was seated at the bar, which I loved because I got to watch the chef cooking right in front of me; such a great experience. The chef even surprised me with a complimentary sashimi (I’m not sure of the exact name, but it was a white fish), and wow… it was so, so, so good. Super fresh and flavorful. The service was outstanding. My server was incredibly kind and helpful. Since I wasn’t sure what to order, he suggested a couple of must-try dishes : the Wagyu taco and the crispy tuna rice. and both were absolutely delicious. Perfect recommendations. Dining at Kuro was truly a special experience. The food was exceptional—beautifully crafted, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Sitting at the sushi bar made the evening feel intimate and elevated, allowing us to truly connect with the Kuro staff, especially the talented sushi chefs, Nara and Luis. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the experience feel personal and memorable. The cozy, romantic atmosphere was perfectly complemented by Kate, our server, who was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind. From the ambiance to the service to the unforgettable food, it was an evening we’ll always remember.

I come to Kuro at the Hard Rock at least twice a week, and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. The consistency, quality, and attention to detail are unmatched. The sushi is hands down the best I’ve ever had — Chef Jin is a true master of his craft, and every creation that comes out of his kitchen is exceptional. From the Toro Gunkan to the Kuro Special Nigiri, nothing falls short — every dish is absolutely perfect. The rice is always warm and perfectly prepared, showing the incredible care that goes into every bite. On top of the amazing food, Luigi does a fantastic job running the restaurant. Amazing brunch with bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, bloody Mary’s,aperol spritz, etc. Incredible seafood spread-crab legs, stone crabs, shrimp, mussels, several types of fish. Carving options-beef Wellington, prime rib, lamb. Huge dessert table. Huge sushi and sashimi buffet. Great service! My favorite items were the crab cake benny, the beef Wellington, the shrimp cocktail, and the aperol spritz:)

10/10 meal and experience! The food is superb, simply the closest we have ever been to Japan here in the US. Delicious sashimi and the sushi omakase was so fresh. The service was fantastic, very attentive! Executive Chef Jinchoon Kim made every bite memorable, and our usual American sushi will forever pale in comparison. As a bonus, the desserts were incredible; the matcha cake was so unique, and the brownies with caramel miso sauce were addictive. We can't wait to come back.
