Kīlauea Coffee

Service was quick, place very quiet - I prefer a little bit of buzz but hey it was midday in a Thursday. Serving person was lovely, knew her stuff, made me a very good Americano. I’m fussy about my coffee and this was a very good coffee. Nice to support local too. They have actual baked goods, not ones in packets.

Absolutely amazing coffee and even better service! Popped in on our vacation for a quick caffeine jolt. There was a miscommunication about my husband’s coffee-and it was definitely my fault but the owner quickly swapped out drinks. Best latte I’ve ever had. Don’t hesitate to stop by! Support local!

Everything about this place is great! The atmosphere ! The vibe and especially the coffee.. Owner is really friendly as well ! Way better than drive thru or corporate places in Hilo !

Well… I really don’t want to go to Starbucks. I want to support a local coffee shop. Unfortunately, early in the morning, options are limited in Hilo. I think it might be because of new ownership, but the menu online says they have breakfast food like egg sandwiches but they don’t. Also I tried this morning for the first time and the staff member was new and did not know how to steam milk to make a latte… alas the search continues.

Stopped by this place out of the blue. It’s super cute, and pretty casual. The best part was the barista Kate. She’s fun and friendly and knows her stuff!
