I want to preface this by saying I’m only talking about the restaurant and not the lodge! Me and My Wife were in the area, checking out the canyon and this is one of the only places to come stop for food, of course! We were craving a grilled cheese and a tomato soup due to the cold weather, so we decided to stop by here. The grilled cheese sadly was not the best however the tomato soup with a little bit better. The service overall was OK however, the person at the front was not very friendly but the food did come out very quickly. It’s hard to beat the view outside of the window and since it is the only place to stop, I still recommend come here!
We made a pit stop here for a quick lunch and we’d definitely recommend it. Easy to spot on the way back from the Kalalua lookout. It offers a wide range of beverages - teas, coffees, smoothies and some food options. I was surprised by the quality of food here - we ordered the veggie curry and fish katsu along with a London Fog Earl Grey latte. The fish katsu was crispy and served with a side of Mac and cheese and white rice. The portions were just right for lunch and not overly large which I appreciated. The veggie curry was delicious - coconut milk and lemongrass base with a hearty portion of vegetables. The London Fog latte was great too! Overall, highly recommend this for a quick bite if you’re in the area.
We ate here after hiking all day in Waimea park and LOVED it! The vibes were great, people were so friendly, and the food&beers were awesome. We got the loco moco, smashed potatoes, and burger — all so tasty and high quality. Can’t wait to go back soon!
Super good food and surprisingly affordable. I've spent more to get full at food trucks on Maui, no disrespect to those fine food trucks feeding us all. Get a Lilikoi slushy with tequila--simply amazing! Gluten free options clearly marked on the menu is a huge A+
We almost didn’t stop here! On a tour through Waimea Canyon getting our hike on and we had planned to get food on the way back to our hotel. The plan was to do one more hike so we decided to stop for food fuel and so glad we did! Love the general store when you walk in, ended up getting some cool bamboo stickers there. Got in line to order and got to listen to some beautiful music being sung live! Staff was incredibly friendly! Food: Poke bowl : the best one I had my entire trip to Kauai! The veggies and pickled items that came with it were a perfect pair! Kahlua pork, that extra crisp gave such great flavor and texture! Best I also had on the island! I noticed there were some cabins nearby so I would consider a stay that way if you want a quiet remote experience! 🫶🏼
