La Belle Auberge Bed & Breakfast

This was a difficult one to review. Stayed two nights. The house and our room was beautiful, romantic, well appointed as you can see from the photos. Love the plush robes and jetted tub. Great location. Walk into downtown. Parking available. My difficulties were as follows. It is a contactless bnb so the whole deal is thru email. No people on site so lacks that personal touch of the innkeeper and staff. The second issue is that the breakfast consists of food left in your room. Muffins, coffee maker (but no mugs in the room. Had to go find them elsewhere in the building) and a fridge with greek yogurt and granola for you to help yourself. I missed the more traditional bnb style of breakfast. Overall I would give it a 4.5 and depends what your value is for the personal touch versus being v

We have never stayed in a B&B, I always felt funny about staying in a strangers home. after visiting here, i am way more open to trying more of them. We stayed in the Jardin Room, super comfortable bed, huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub and nice little balcony overlooking the garden. There is a nice front porch for hanging out and sipping drinks or relaxing. The room was very clean, cleaner than many hotels I've stayed in. There is a minifridge with yogurt and orange juice and some containers of granola and mixed nuts which were a nice touch. We were in Wellsboro to see the grand canyon and visit cherry springs state bark for star gazing. The town is small but quaint. We will be returning to Wellsboro and we will be staying at La Belle Auberge in the Jardin room.

Not a bed and breakfast. While the inn itself was very nice and comfortable, it was misrepresented as a B&B. What was billed as breakfast was 2 muffins placed in our room the day before and a Keurig for coffee. For the price, and being called a bed and BREAKFAST, we expected more.

Had a fantastic weekend stay. Paired it with a spa day and some local takeout. Perfect relaxing getaway! Merci, La Belle!

My fiancé and I stayed one night here. The location is perfect, walkable to all things in Wellsboro. There was private parking. The contactless registration and key grab was so easy, with ample instructions provided. Our room was beautiful! We especially loved the private balcony that came with the Jardin room. There is no traditional breakfast, but fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh granola, and a keurig with all necessary accoutrement were provided in the room. We will definitely be back!
