La Brasa Grill - Hillsboro (Coconut Creek)

**Review based on years of visits multiple times a month** -Jose the owner is usually present and cares very much that the service and food is on point -great place for a quick bite that has tons of options for lunch or dinner -my go to is always 1/2 chicken dark meat with plantains and cilantro rice -I’ve had them cater for 20-30 meals many times and peeps are always happy with the food -price is extremely fair and portions generous THANK YOU JOSE!

Just happened to be in the Area and ran across a La brasa Grill like what I have in North Miami Beach, ordered my usual quarter chicken with tostone and sweet plantain, pretty much the same price $11. Oh boy I was shocked to receive 3 pieces of plantain and 2 small tostone. Definitely ridiculous 🙄 compared to any other La Brasa I've been to. People shouldn't leave not satisfied after spending their money.

A hidden gem for sure! The staff makes you feel right at home immediately and you will be overly satisfied with any dish of your liking. For me personally the rotisserie chicken is outstanding, so crispy and tender and just so flavorful. Especially with the fresh plantains on the side. The atmosphere is great and specifically this location the owner Jose is so kind and very accommodating. I haven't even gotten to mention the absolute steal that the prices. If you aren't already a regular here then you are truly missing out !

This company food is normally good What happened today??? I ordered quarter chicken meal which was dry and has a slight spilled odor with black beans and ripe plantains and this watery dessert tres leches. The plant is in the black beans was okay The rest of the meal I had to toss This is the most disgusting meal of ever had.

Very disappointing experience. I arrived at 8:30 pm and was refused seating. The lady at the counter said they close at 9:00 pm and needed to start cleaning, so they were only offering takeout. This is unacceptable. If a restaurant closes at 9:00 pm, customers arriving at 8:30 pm should still be allowed to dine in. On top of that, several other customers were also turned away and not allowed to sit. Closing early while advertising later hours is misleading and unprofessional. I will not be returning.
