La Brascas Pizza

I live in the upstate of SC, had heard about this place and since it wasn’t far from the State Fair we went there to grab a bite. I like the sauce. Crust could have had another 30 seconds to a minute longer in the oven, (others in the group said the same). I will not say it’s the best pizza I have ever had (the search is ongoing) but it was a good pizza. Would go again. Service was nice, we dined in. I thought the dining area was a bit dark for my liking.

Whoa, this place is a hoot. A very casual vibe and lots of warm southern hospitality with a side of i-talian themed eats. La Brascas Pizza is a fun place and I had a nice meal. It's more than a restaurant, it's an art gallery too. I will expound on that in a moment. South Carolina is not the epicenter of Italian cuisine, so I came in merely looking to sate my appetite and slake my thirst. Brascas did both. The sangiovese harkened Tuscan hills, and the baked spaghetti with meatballs was reminiscent of Fontana di Trevi, back in the day. Speaking of music, the soundtrack was heavy on Blondie and Wilson Phillips. I asked for maybe some Billy Joel and Dean Martin, but they were not taking requests. They did play Copacabana as a consultation then handed me the check. I took a hint. Really though

This place is a Landmark in Restaurants in the Columbia area. Been coming here since 1972! Never ever had even the smallest of complaints on anything here! And, no...I don't know the owner or work here. It's just an absolutely wonderful place to eat!

Wow. Hate to give a bad review about an iconic place, but this was a totally boring experience. Pay extra for meat in bland spaghetti, and it was really hard to find any meat. The 2 topping medium pizza was not the LaBrascas I was used to. Sparce toppings. That and 2 cheese salads, 40 bucks. It might have been worth it had the spaghetti been edible, and we didn't have to go and find our own containers to go, when we're the only diners in the restaurant. No prices or total on the check. So I don't know until I get to the register, where it states there's a high fee for using a credit card. Sorry, but that came off the tip. An established business still charges extra to use a card??? I like to know what I'm paying before I'm at the register. But no worries... sadly this visit is the last. Al

What a great pizza place!!!!! There is nothing that I have ever ordered that wasn’t good. The pizza is always hot and fresh with a crust that is just perfect. Their bead sticks are nice and garlicky (if that is a word) that is delicious with or without the cheese. Everyone is friendly and in the years I have been coming, I have never been disappointed. Just like the old style pizza places. Go now!!!!!
