La Carreta Mexican Restaurant

From the front of the restaurant it's not much but on the inside...it's absolutely beautiful. I ordered the enchiladas tricolor. It was delicious and made how I like my enchiladas. They didn't drown my enchiladas with cheese. It was the same price as the Mexican fast food place I used frequent. It's so close to work. I'll definitely be back.

Not recommended: Very long wait times. Only one server. Children behind the bar servicing themselves. Unattended children within the restaurant. Foreign objects (paper) in the salsa (see pic). Small portions; my order was partially stuffed with meat on the exterior of the shell, attempting to portray a full sized portion (see pic). The items were not as described on menu, nor did they in any way replicate the pictures. Service was slow and rarely checked on the customer. Dirty silverware. Very, very, dirty and disgusting bathroom. This was a first-time customer experience and was not very impressive with their services.

Best authentic Mexican food that I have had not being in Mexico. My family and I had the gorditas that were very delicious and well prepared and that where filled with ingredients that you don't normally see in other Mexican restaurants. The rice and beans were very delicious too. Fresh homemade beans. All in all it was a great place to enjoy great Mexican food.

And the waitresses and owner always makes sure you are taken care of, they have the free chips and salsa, and the plates themselves are huge! I ordered the Carne asada and the size of my steak was massive, they definitely took care of me and I will be back for sure, they have great old style music playing too, great atmosphere, ty guys for an amazing meal

UPDATE*** This is the servers response. Son of the owner. The lack of customer service is lacking so much at this place. This is probably the worse place I have been with. Beginning with service, we came in and sat down for a party of about 12 of us. The place was empty. I asked the server what time happy hour started and he said "I don't know there should be a bubble that says the time on the front of the menu" (there wasn't). I ordered a house marg that was actually really good. We then ordered our dinner. Some one in my party ordered a molcajete. When it arrived, it was missing half of the items listed. When I politely asked the server he said "well we don't serve it like that anymore". Due to his really bad attitude towards me I asked for the manager. When I told her the server was ex
