La Costera Mexican Restaurant

We had such a great experience at La Costera. The servers were incredibly attentive and welcoming from the start. I love a good Hispanic atmosphere—it reminds me of my mom’s kitchen—and La Costera absolutely delivered that feeling. We ordered the shrimp cocktail on the menu (I can’t remember the exact name, but it was so good), and I asked if they could make carne asada nachos for me—and wow. They were delicious and hit every craving. I’ll admit I’m very picky when it comes to Mexican food. I’m from California, so my standards are high—but they went above and beyond. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and made with care. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a warm, authentic vibe.

Well, this is my first time eating here, i did enjoy it very well. I had the shrimp soup and also added tilapia to it. Also had two tacos à la carte 1x Pastor & 1x Lengua the corn tortillas were rather small. But yet the taco was so packed with deliciously, flavored meat with a perfect char in my opinion, it definitely made up for the small tortilla. Back to the soup, though the broth was phenomenal. Fish and shrimp was cooked perfectly only thing is I wish the broth would include some vegetables such as carrots and potatoes. Don't get me wrong, The broth and fish paired great with each other and overall was very nice. I will definitely come back. A+++

Fairly new I believe! Talked to a young man, he explained that he is the author of the mural. Mexican food style is closely to Acapulco. They got Margarita but in the box only. I preferred catfish instead of taliapa and will be having them for lunch today. The rice is fluffy and flavorful and excellent bean. Will be back for sure!

Family owned and absolutely worth the trip! We stumbled upon this gem and were blown away. The food is outstanding — packed with flavor, generous portions, and clearly made with love. The shrimp dish was loaded and perfectly seasoned, and the queso-smothered chicken with veggies over rice? Unreal. And judging by the spotless plate, someone clearly loved their meal 😄 Friendly service, spotless dining area, and a colorful, fun vibe inside. La Costera is a must-try if you're anywhere near Tulsa. We'll be back — and bringing friends!

My family & I grabbed some lunch, and the overall service was great, the waitress was attentive and recommended some great options for us to try. The atmosphere was very inviting and the restaurant staff was friendly. Definitely recommend trying this place if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food. They have mariscos but also other options such as Tacos, Flautas and traditional Mexican dishes.
