A really great place to go to buy and pick up food. I bought ham and cheese sandwiches and a side of fries, and they were really good. I recommend that sandwich. The only downside is that I had to wait about 20 minutes.
Very courteous service, delicious food and good portions! Excellent customer service from the young lady, Nairobi & the chef, very accommodating. We were visiting in the area, and weren't familiar with all the items on the menu, she took the time to explain my options and help my son choose. Thank you, we will be back!
After waiting for about 15 minutes for them to make 2 order of the hot dog special. I expect it to cost about $14 each hot dog totaling about $30 after tax. The dog was good but it wasn't $15 good. I've tasted better hot dogs at a street vender for way less... the quality of the ingredients wasn't the best either. Basically nothing special but the size. There was two basically two hot dog sausage put on a long sub, topped with cabbages, with liquid cheese and small amount of ground beef. I was a little disappointed spending $30 on something so simple... I could've gotten better tasting high quality meals at another restaurant.
It wasn't even time for a meal. I was driving through Dorchester, pulled up to a stop sign, and saw the sign: La Esquina ("The Corner") Restaurant. I had never even heard of a Dominican sandwich before. And here, right in front if me, practically in my lap, are best Domimican sandwiches. The sign says so. So of course you know what happens next: Like Pippin with the pint glass at The Sign of the Prancing Pony: "I'm getting one!" It is awesome. Shaped like sub roll, but crispy outside and soft inside, choice of meat ( I didn't see any vegetarian options), and heaped with a million toppings (veggies, sauce, other stuff, I don't even know what was on it). I think it was pressed like a panini but I'm not sure. Best sandwich I've had in a long time. As a bonus, they're open until 1:00
Delicious food! Very tasty! To manage expectations, it is a small restaurant, just 3 seats but very tidy and clean 🥰 I generally order to take out, no dine in. I call first and they tell me within what time frame I can pick my order up. I just can’t decide which one is the best dish I’ve tried but hotdogs, completos and club sandwiches are …. Yummy! Very generous sizes, if you don’t eat too much, one sandwich will suffice for two. Parking is outside the resto, in a busy street.
