This is a very good bakery, it’s at downtown and it had the best bread around! Very good quality and prices! This is a bread that I never find in other places!! I bought of course empanadas and donuts too but they didn’t make it to the office ☺️.. they are the best!

Never been disappointed after leaving La Estrella! This morning I helped myself to a fresh, warm cochito! I got a few other delectable treats for my family, including one of their glazed donuts, which I consider to be the best in Tucson! And as always, it was a pleasure interacting with the kind people working there. Thank you!

My wife and I went to Tucson for a day trip and wanted to try some local pastry. The two people working there at the time were very welcoming and generous. We got four items and they’re ALL excellent. We’ll definitely go back next time we visit Tucson.

Their chocolate glazed donut was very average, good but average. Maybe it was a specific donut that was award winning? Their tortillas are so good! They’re soft, just slightly flakey when heated up, and soo much better than anything I could make or buy! I also got a churro that was really good! It was crunchy and had a custard filling. It goes well with their lattes which aren’t too sweet. Their foods can be on the sweet side (not the tortillas), but I’d definitely come back for the tortillas and to try other stuff!

So soft and crumbly! Not too sweet, not too bland. Great service and very authentic pan dulce. A little pricey as they do charge per piece vs a bakers dozen but worth the price.
