La Fogata Restaurant Mall of the Americas

This place has potential but i’d rather buy real Nica food from a fritanga. They served me old gallo pinto not cooked the right way. And gave me hard cold maduros. The only good thing was the singer on Saturday night. Meat was okay.

Have been eating from here easily over a dozen years. Located in a strip mall. The food is very good as well as the service. The cut of meat is excellent. Nice selection of sides.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Fogata Restaurant it was an experience worth sharing. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout my visit. The menu at La Fogata is extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. As a lover of Latin cuisine, I was thrilled to see many of my favorite dishes available. I started with the empanadas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously seasoned meat mixture. For the main course, I opted for the Bandeja Paisa, a traditional Colombian dish that came with rice, beans, plantains, chorizo, avocado, and a fried egg. They should update their hours on Google. They show that they close at 9 pm but they actually close at 7:30. This picture was taken at 7:42 pm. Get off the pandemic hours and close at 9 pm again.

I’ve always had brushed this place off as a Fogata knockoff but it’s the real deal. Our food was very tasty and everything was reasonably priced. Why I had to dock a star was that the tip was already included yes I was provided with exceptional service but I would have wanted to have a choice.
