Great experience, overall! Authentic, but creatively different take on Mexican cuisine. Seafood focused dishes - we had octopus, the whole grilled fish and scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly and was tasty. It’s nice to find a friendly, great service restaurant on Prospect St. We’ll definitely be back.

What an amazing restaurant. While we went without reservations, they were able to sit us at the bar for an early afternoon snack. The staff was great, opening up two spots for us. The drinks were really tasty, very well thought out. The food was incredible. We ordered tacos and tostadas to simply try the place out, and WOW! The food is really top notch, super fresh, and high quality. We’ll be back with a reservation and to explore the menu in full. Superb new restaurant in La Jolla!

Mariscos La Jollita is, without a doubt, the best seafood in San Diego. We spent one of the most memorable evenings with friends, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The food, the service, the atmosphere, this spot truly has it all. And as if that weren’t enough, they have a roasted habanero salsa that practically shines on its own. From the moment we arrived, the staff made sure we had an unforgettable experience. The place is spotless and every detail is carefully considered. Then the food arrived, and every single bite was a burst of flavor. The tacos were incredible, the taco gobernador with mole felt like something crafted in heaven. The ceviche “Los Archos” has hints of aguachile while maintaining its own identity. The tuna tostada is something I could happily eat every sing

Really excellent food and service for a quirky restaurant with authentic Mexican dishes and flavors. Restaurant JUST opened this week after a short soft-open preparation and work up period. The staff is exceptionally attentive and the appetizer dishes are definitely sized to share. The octopus dish was fantastic as we're the side of refried beans. Each taco was really good and each person loved what they ordered (taco Dumbo, taco gubanerdor, and smoke tuna tacos). The restaurant has specialty cocktails that offer something fun for most palates. The Paloma was about sweet for our group taste and perhaps could be enlivened with a splash of tonic/soda water, but it was still a good cocktail. 10 out of 10 will go back and can't wait to try the larger fish entree's.

We dined at La Jollita for my mom's birthday and it was excellent! The food, drink, and service were all top notch. Parking on a Tuesday night was surprisingly busy in the village, so our party of 8 trickled in. It wasn't a problem at all to be seated without our full party. We sat at a table that was against the wall with a long padded bench on one side and chairs on the other side. This was perfect since we needed a high chair. The atmosphere overall was really nice. My husband even commented that he could actually hear the people at our table, so while it was a lively restaurant, it wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear one another. The drinks at La Jollita were pretty reasonably priced. I had the mezcalita with passionfruit, though they can also make it with hibiscus. My mom enjoyed h
