La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos

RI Food Fights “Taco Mania!” brought us here — and I’m so glad it did! From the outside, La Lupita doesn’t look like much, but step inside and you’re greeted with a clean, spacious, and festive dining area that feels warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. You order at the counter, and they bring the food right to your table — quick and easy! We tried the Grilled Steak and Carnitas Tacos, both authentic and absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on — fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and soft, flavorful tortillas. We also each had a Horchata, which was fantastic — sweet, creamy, and perfectly spiced. If you’re looking for real Mexican tacos in a relaxed, inviting spot, La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos is definitely worth a visit!

I eat at La Lupita at least once a week and sometimes twice. They are extremely efficient and friendly. The owners are usually there and they are very nice people with fantastic food! I would rather go here any day than any of the chain mexican places in Rhode Island. Great food, great people, great value!

Stopped in here for the first time tonight. Was helped by Ricardo, I wasn’t sure what I wanted and asked him for some suggestions. Not only was he super helpful but he was also really nice. Probably one of the nicest food service people I have encountered in a long time. I settled on 4 tacos, all of them were delicious and the portions were generous. Definitely not small street tacos. I thought the prices were fair as well. He also suggested I try the Olneyville Sunset (after making sure I like hibiscus) and it was perfect. Really complimented the food. The food came out really quick, you can see the kitchen when you walk in, it was clean and they were really busting their asses getting g food out. The salsa was great too, I will 100% be back. I also 100% suggest this place.

This is a super tasty Mexican spot over in Olneyville. We stopped by on a Thursday night and were able to grab a prime seat. We tried their queso Birria tacos (3 per order) and their UFO special with lamb barbacoa- both were DELICIOUS! Pro-Tip: - bring a friend so you can share multiple plates - add the hot sauce

La Lupita is one of the best places in the West Side and Providence. Such a solid option! They cook all of their meats perfectly in all of their meals. My go to generally is the gringa with steak in salsa verde. But, now they have the UFO/OVNI, which is a superior version of the crunchwrap supreme, and that is probably my favorite item in their menu. Also, they get your order ready super fast, they have good prices, and their service is always polite.
