Always a good time and the food is great, I love the staff. Always welcoming. Must try the shrimp burrito. Very cost affordable. Live music friday nights. Nice bar. super clean
The food wasn’t hot, just kinda warm. The taste overall was very disappointing. I had dinner with a friend and she ordered tacos, couldn’t even finish them because they tasted so off and she described them as raw. I ordered a quesadilla fajita and the tortilla was soggy with grease. The steak was chewy and lacked flavor. The service was good, the employees were attentive and kind, but the food is beyond mediocre.
First time visiting La Mesa Mexican Restaurant at 1217 South Waldron Rd. in Fort Smith, and everything was absolutely superior. Our server, Ida, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything from start to finish. The service was excellent, the food came out fast, and the refills were amazing without us ever having to ask. Drinks, chips, and everything else were kept full and fresh the entire time. Every detail felt right, and the experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.
La Mesa is hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant. We come here often, and every single time the staff makes us feel so welcomed—they’ve learned our favorite orders and always treat us like family. We recently moved from Texas, where we were spoiled with amazing Tex-Mex, and La Mesa in Fort Smith has absolutely lived up to (and exceeded) those expectations. The food is consistently incredible, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is always inviting. We love them so much that we’re having La Mesa cater our wedding with Joe, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Anytime friends or family come in from out of town to visit my fiancé and me, this is the very first restaurant we take them to.
