La Montaña Mexican Restaurant

La Montana was our go to place one or two times a week for 3 years. We slowly noticed the absence of customers. Apparently, management thought it was a good idea to change the menu adding pizza, hamburgers, and pasta Alfredo. Oh, did I mention the receipt and menu prices didn’t match and when we brought it to our server’s attention (who was great), we were told prices increased. You can’t advertise one price on the menu and charge another. It’s called fraud- thrift by taking. We could see our servicer explaining the situation to the manager. The server came back and said the pricing is done at the restaurant in Gainesville and the registers are connected together. We told him to correct the situation and credit us the $4+ dollars. My wife and I absolutely love the people and the restaurant we are here at least 3 times a week .. friendly and gracious staff especially Lencho , Mago , Arlene , Reuben, alexandro and the two Raul’s .. they truly make you feel like family. You won’t regret the experience.

La Montaña is a delicious Mexican restaurant to eat at. I've been here three times now and can really say the food is high quality. My favorite thing so far is the salsa, though; I would just come here for the salsa alone. If I were to gripe about anything, it would be the fact that some shrimp dishes come with very skimpy portions of shrimp. I also think the guacamole dip could be improved upon compared to other Mexican restaurants I've been to.

The food is very bland. The absolute LEAST of my favorite of so-called Mexican food, however the service was good. I tried them when they 1st opened yrs ago and the food wasn't good then either. To this day the food still isn't good. I doubt if I'll ever go back. I've NEVER had fish tacos that didn't have some type or special sauce to give it a zesty or distinct flavor. They didn't have any sauce and they serve it with lettuce, tomato & sour cream. lol (Yes, with fish tacos.) The other items I got were bland also.

Tried La Montana for the first time and loved it! The wait staff were very friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly and our entire order was correct. The food was fresh and everything had amazing flavor. The dining area was very clean and pleasant. And the price is very reasonable. My wife and I had two drinks, an appetizer, two main entree’s, and some extra sides, for a total bill under $50! A great Mexican dining experience. I highly recommend them and definitely will be returning.
