La Palapa Grill & Cantina

The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very friendly. The food was SO DELICIOUS. I got the chicken tacos with refried beans and vegetables - those sides did not feel like simple "filler" ... The refried beans and the vegetables were a little slice of heaven. YUMMY!!!

We came here as a large family group. The place is very nice inside with great decor. They have a nice selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. The nachos and cheese was particularly delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable.

Excellent place for a weekday business lunch party meetup with a large menu and seating area, barely anyone there and a beautiful setup for reservation of 12. Obviously parking is a challenge in old Ellicott City but they do have a small parking lot out front. Plan to park and walk just in case. They serve chips and salsa on the table as standard which was fresh and delicious. Their chips and guac was fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the taco salad w beef which was definitely better than most places. Service was not amazing but okay. Will definitely return!

Very nice Mexican restaurant in Ellicott! Good queso dip and I really liked the fiesta fajitas (you get a mix of shrimp, chicken, and steak). They also have good chocolate cake if you are in the mood for dessert. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After spending the day shopping and exploring Ellicot City, we chose to have a late lunch at this restaurant. As it was a beautiful day and the restaurant was not busy, we opted to dine outside. Sadly, the food did not live up to expectations. The ceviche was flavorless and unpalatable, and the guacamole had a smooth, processed texture. The salsa tasted like a generic store-bought salsa. My steak quesadillas were adequate, but the paloma was a letdown. On the other hand, the Blue Moon was enjoyable. I do not remember what my boyfriend had, he did say it was just okay. The service was poor, with our server being inattentive and displaying a somewhat negative attitude. I would not recommend this restaurant.
