La Playita Restaurant

Had a great dinner here at this out of the way restaurant. One of the waitresses wasn't a very talkative person but she served us well. It was well decorated for Halloween. The shrimp and catfish plates were incredible. A lot of food for the price. Highly recommend this place, support the local businesses.

It's a relatively cheap Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere on a stretch of land you have to get on a boat to get to. IE: it's freaking awesome. Cheapest and best date I've come up with in a while. $35 for 2 people and we didn't leave anything out. Food was great, the service and people were very kind and while its a tiny hole in the wall, frankly, that added to the atmosphere, I felt.

The food is not great and the customer service from the staff is not friendly at all. I heard them scream out trying to stop a lady from using the restroom just because she wasn’t a customer. How can you be a restaurant and not have public restrooms? I witnessed a horrible experience and would NOT recommend coming here!

Super great place to eat while you are on the peninsula.
