La Porteña

This restaurant was truly one of the highlights of our Cape May vacation! As Argentinians, it felt so special to find an authentic Argentinian restaurant in Stone Harbor. From the moment we walked in, the host was welcoming and the interior was beautiful — I especially loved seeing the Argentinian flag on the wall, which made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible, full of flavor and easily the best I had all week. We even asked our waitress if we could meet the chef, and it was such a joy to meet him — not only because the food was amazing, but also because he’s Argentinian too. An extremely delightful dining experience. Years ago we ate at the chef's tiny restaurant near Mac's pizza. First time I had Argentine food and it was fantastic. Fast forward to today and the chef is better than ever. Highly recommend.

Date night at its finest. Now that’s a definition of 5 out of 5 ⭐️ ✨ Good food and great service (aka our dear Gabby 😉) At La Porteña in Stone Harbor, the Argentinian flavors were absolutely on point. The highlight? Chef Lucas personally came out and served us prawns brought in all the way from Montauk—fresh, perfectly prepared, and unforgettable. 🦐🔥 If you’re looking for authentic Argentinian cuisine with hospitality that goes above and beyond, this is the spot. Best restaurant we have ever tried in Stone Harbor! All the appetizers were things we would have never chosen on our own but each one blew us away. They bring all four appetizers for each person and they are very decent portions we were almost full by the time our entrees came. My favorite appetizers were the “corn and corn” grits and the fresh tomato gazpacho. For my entree I got the lemon ricotta gnocchi with lobster- it was phenomenal and melted in your mouth. The flat iron steak was also fantastic! Dessert was chocolate pudding with peaches and cream, wow! Service was also fantastic and the restaurant was a very cool and unique setup. Truly such a gem we can’t wait to go back!

The experience was amazing from start to finish. All of the dishes had incredibly fresh ingredients and were thoughtfully curated. I feel like I was encouraged to try a few new things that expanded my palate and I’m so glad I did! For the main I had a 10/10 authentic Argentinian short rib accompanied by a chimichurri and tallow fries that were to die for. The dulce de leche rice pudding was the perfect way to end the meal as well.
