La Posada de Taos

We stayed in unit D, The Casita. It was amazingly cozy and well furnished. It's within walking distance of the Taos Plaza and several restaurants. The exterior had several very comfortable sitting areas. We loved it! Highly recommended!

My sister and I booked La Casa, the casita at La Posada de Taos, for three nights during our road trip. It is absolutely charming and clean, as is the entire property. It’s small, but we were out and about so much it didn’t phase us. The private patio is perfect for yoga - it looks out at the beautiful gardens and sitting areas. The casita is decorated with unique artwork and jewel-toned colors. The bed is huge and comfortable. Coffee is provided for the coffee maker, along with a small frig, microwave and some snacks. It is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. This was my first visit to Taos and La Posada de Taos left a lasting impression on me.

The location is great. It’s in walking distance to the plaza and multiple restaurants. We stayed in unit B . It’s a 300 ft.² quaint, historic motel room with a southwest vibe. There is no AC, but frankly, we didn’t need it ….. even when it was 98° outside it was only 70° in our room.

I was welcomed by Sharon at about 8:00 on Saturday evening. She was wonderful as she showed me my beautiful adobe home for my stay. There on the kitchen table were a bunch of bananas and a bowl of tangerines, my favorite snacks! The coup de gras were the home made petite brownie squares (made by Sharon) dusted with confectioner's sugar and some chocolate sugar wafers... yum! I was there for a much needed rest and retreat as I had wanted to visit Taos for some time. ||The bedding was so comfortable and cozy. The sheets and pillows were sublime. I loved everything about La Posada de Taos. It is conveniently located a couple of blocks from the plaza and Smith's grocery as well as restaurants and coffee shops. All within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay at La Posada de Taos. We stayed in La Casa and it was a great room separate from the main building. It was wonderful to be able to go into the main building for snacks and tea and coffee whenever we wanted, plus there was a great book, DVD and game library available. The breakfast was fantastic, and our only regret is we were only able to enjoy it on one of the three days we were there (due to scheduling on our end). Karen & Sharon were wonderful hosts and we wholly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Taos.
