Mann I've had some good tacos before but la vaquita has some great tacos, the bistec tacos are made fresh and the trompo is even better. You can get 40 tacos for a really good price it comes with all the toppings and potatoes. There portions are also very large, the only negative thing I can say is there menu is in Spanish so they should make some in English.

The wait for 8 tacos that are the most commonly ordered was just ridiculous Specially when you we see people at the drive through kept getting their orders served before us or people outside in their cars. Place needs to be cleaned. They also charge more when you use card. It seems like a nominal fee, but it seems bad to tell someone a price and then up the price when you pull out a card. Tacos were super small, only slightly larger than a large lemon and the cheese to meat proportions were off. It was 60-75% cheese. The tacos also just had poor presentation because when you order more, you will get one or two tacos that barely qualify as tacos.

If you're ever in San Benito and craving truly authentic tacos, this spot is a hidden gem! I ordered the cazuela for the family, which came loaded with a variety of tacos—trompo, bistek, sirloin, and costilla—each one bursting with rich, savory flavor. The tacos were on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you—they were packed with flavor in every bite. Each one was topped with classic garnishes: onions, cilantro, and a touch of shredded cheese. The plate also came with grilled onions, papas, and a perfectly charred chile toreado, adding that extra punch that made the whole meal unforgettable. These tacos instantly took me back to Matamoros, Mexico—the taste, the seasoning, even the presentation felt like something you'd find just across the border. Authentic, delicious, and made wi

Very good restaurant, not a big restaurant but nice and cozy, very clean, very nice staff, the food here is awesome this is the original, I believe. The tacos de tromp are highly recommended, and I ate moiejas too it was a combo plate , as the serving is well served. The charro beans are good, too. Like the fact that you can see the fire on the Trompo through the window.
