Super nice owner, amazing property with well designed eating areas and efficient ordering system. Large variety of food including meat, dairy, and pareve. Pizza, sushi, Acai Bowls, Burger Joint and an Ice cream shop all Kosher.
I went to Lake Como Pizza to visit my daughter on her camp's visiting day. We got a pie, a large order of cheese fries, and three overpriced drinks. Having spent two years of my life managing a pizzeria, my expectations were high. For the pizza, the sauce was sickeningly sweet and lacked authenticity and didn't even taste like it came from a tomato. The crust was hard, presumably because it was made the night before (or perhaps earlier). The fries were bland, and I don't think it could even be called "cheese fries" because there were maybe 2 shredded slices of mozzarella on there. With certainly, I can say that the fries came out of a bag in some freezer, and anyone with taste buds would surely agree. In general, it felt like I was paying premium prices for inferior product. We look forward every summer to young to Lake Como Pizza. They used to make one of the best pizzas in the area. This year the pizza was very disappointing. We used to love their sauce. It was so tasty. Now it just tasted like watered down tomatoe sauce and had zero flavor. Please bring back your old sauce recipe! The cheese fries were okay. Nothing special. Overall we were disappointed.
Waited 40 minutes for two slices of pizza and my friends that ordered after me got it before me they shoot me off and the pizza is not even that good
Online ordering system is a bit obtuse with slots arranged hours ahead of time but this place is ultimately setup to handle and prioritize the camps later in the evening. Pizza was good but it's not everyday that you can find authentic Israeli food anywhere near here so that would be my recommendation.
