This diner is small but stays busy, likely because of its great view — honestly, that’s the main attraction here. The food itself was average; nothing special but not terrible either. What really soured the experience was the cash-only policy, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere until it was time to pay. I had to use the on-site ATM and pay an extra $4 fee — something that could easily be avoided and added as tips if they accepted cards or at least posted a clear sign. There were also a few empty tables by the windows, but we weren’t allowed to sit there despite the view being what draws people in. That felt unnecessary and a bit unwelcoming. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re already nearby and want to enjoy the scenery, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.
A VIP client (a CELEBRITY) chose this restaurant for a business meeting yesterday, so I arrived expecting a professional and welcoming environment. When I walked in, the place was packed—which I initially took as a good sign. Busy usually means good food and good service. I was seated at a small two-top in the back blocking the counter seating, which was already tight for a meeting with paperwork. As the lunch crowd began to clear out, the table next to me opened up. I started to move my materials to give us a bit more space for the meeting. At that point, a waitress approached me in a very abrupt and unpleasant tone and said, “Where do you think you’re going?” I explained that the table had just become available and that I needed the space for a business meeting. She immediately shut me
Right on our way from Boston to NYC, hit all the diner buttons. Home fries, perfect. Cole slaw, perfect. Good coffee. Donuts made with love. Not enough room for the Benedict this trip, we'll have to come back.
We had a beautiful view of this lake from our table. The omelet was tasty and my hubby had the pancakes. Great coffee too.
Found this little cozy diner around 6 years ago as an alternative to the traditional Dunkin Donuts cup of coffee/tea and breakfast sandwich. Food is very good, price is compatible with other diners. Service here is the key….the waitresses, dishwashers, cooks and the owner were and are very friendly from the moment I tried this place out. They treat and make you feel like family. I have taken clients and family there and just enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend this diner for coffee and a quick bite to eat.
