When I came to New York for a concert in February or March, I stayed at a ramen shop near my place. They also had sauerkraut fish, spicy hot pot, barbecue, and many other things. The food was pretty good, and it was quite crowded during mealtimes, with tables turning over frequently. On a cold night, slurping down a bowl of noodles was so satisfying, especially since the taste was really good and the price was very reasonable. If it weren't just for two people, I would have ordered a lot more.
It’s very mid. With the price the amt of food was very little. The food had ok flavor. Skewer were lowkey overcooked and dry. Rice was put on PAPER PLATES.
Really delicious spot in Brooklyn to eat authentic Fuzhounese cuisine! It’s down to earth and family owned businesses so it might seem lackluster to outsiders but that’s not the case at all! The prices are unbeatable— tip is not required so it’s mostly self served but the staff is friendly and helpful. The food comes out so fast— less than 10 minutes after we ordered our first dish came out fresh and hot from the stove top. We ordered a variety of dishes but our favorite is the spicy and sour fish soup as well as the meat skewers.
I am by myself and have no idea where to eat in Brooklyn. I visited few restaurant, but lastly, i came to LanZhou Noodle. You need to seat yourself and order at the counter. It is not busy the time when I visited. The portion is way out of my expectations as I had food in Manhattan and other states, It is bigger than i thought. I thought it is not going to be this much, so i ordered 3 items. It is really a good price for all of these together around 29dollar.
Very down-to-earth, local, traditional Chinese restaurant where the environment is quite noisy from the lady talking to the phone and relaying the orders into the back kitchen. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. one of the best thing about this place is, YOU DONT HAVE TO TIP. Once you’re done with the food, just walk out and they’ll take care of clean-up. The food portion is great, the price is cheap, and the dishes are very flavorful. My favorites are the skewers (beef and lamb). Their Poached Loneley fish dish is also great — nicely spiced, good amount of fish slices and a wide variety of vegetables. Their braised beef rice is quite regular, nothing too special. It’s the same beef they use in the noodle soups. I should have ordered the noodle soup instead. Overall,
