Lane Tree Grill

We was a group of 5 on Sunday 1/11/26. We arrived at 12:30 and most of everything was gone already. Most of the friends only could get 1 side and they was scraping the pan for that. The rice was hard and crunchy. Mashed potatoes had hard pieces throughout it. The chicken was hard and dry. All the food was cold. I was so embarrassed because I recommended to try this place . We had a couple that came before and they said they wasn’t coming back but, I want to see if the restaurant had improved. NO, hands down. We had a party of 8 at first so, I was glad 3 back out. Everyone agreed it the worst place and not to recommend to other friends coming from out of state. Worst food ever in my life. The Lane Tree golf course restaurant serves fish on Friday. If crowd size and age are a barometer to gauge its performance then it’s the next best thing to being at the beach. Seniors are a “tried and true” group of folks and they appreciate cost, convenience, comfort, taste and socialization. While Goldsboro offers many great Fish Friday choices, the Lane Tree restaurant staff are consistently excellent in meeting the challenges of placing a delicious seafood meal on your table. 11-10-24 We've found their Sunday lunch a great value with excellent food. The lunch "buffet" usually has 4 main entrees (rotating) to choose from, plus two sides. This runs you $12. A simple salad bar and desserts are available. On the date above, the mains offered were fried chicken, short ribs, manicotti, and pot roast. The sides offered were collards, rice, fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, and mac and cheese. Of course, you can do the salad bar as a side. All meals also come with a roll. Desserts are extra at around $3, and they usually have 3+ cakes to choose from. Drinks are not part of the meal price. We've done their Sunday lunch three times now as of the date above, and everything has been tasty and a reorder, including the ribs, okra, and salad

The steak is AMAZING! We went with a big group (about 25-30 people) and every single one of our steaks came out within minutes of each other, and they were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Very impressed!

Sunday lunch buffet was $24.95 per person, food was okay not worth the money paid, will not be going back
