Lansdale Public Library

Loved it. But to be fair, as it's below *40 F there's a lot of unhoused sleeping and snoring loudly today. Also to be fair, the staff didn't wake them until many folks complained. I have one love seat in my apartment. I can't have another roommate. If I could I'd had half a dozen. Dec. 19, 2025 Google maps asked for an update. Not much more to add except the staff seems to be consistent. Also it's been unreasonably cold so lots of unoccupied luggage and laundry baskets in the cubbies. Today, although it was raining, a lot less cold. Much less luggage in the cubbies. Still some and some grocery carts outside filled with luggage. Why does it say 24 hours on Sunday? I came at 12am and there was no one there. It ruined my book night I wanted to have some Wawa and read a good book on a bean bag. But to my surprise the place was closed. I really felt upset and deceived.

I love my little hometown library. It's a great community hub with classes and groups that meet weekly, a decent kids area, and a well-stocked library of "stuff" you can borrow, like musical instruments and fishing rods. It's a small library and the budget isn't big, but they are always making improvements and adding great books to their collection.

It's a library. You can read, get on the computer etc. So in that aspect it's Great. Most of the staff are nice. As far as the public is concerned you can expect some nosey people and a lot of harmless immature gossip drama between the " regulars" there. So I Just Do my own research, read quietly, browse, etc. I'm here for me. Not anyone else. That's not to say don't freaking say hi to anyone lol but I draw a line in the sand and try and leave it at that!
